MTA (Matanuska Telecom Association) Appoints Rebecca Rudd as Chief Financial Officer

PALMER, Alaska — Matanuska Telecom Association (MTA) has named Rebecca “Becky” Rudd, CPA, as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective August 5, 2026.

Rudd brings more than 18 years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing, and leadership. Most recently, she served as Chief Financial Officer for Providence Medical Group in Alaska, where she led financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvement efforts across the organization. Prior to that role, she served as Regional Director of Financial Operations for Providence Alaska and Financial Controller for Medical Group of Alaska.

Earlier in her career, Rudd spent more than a decade in public accounting and auditing, including leadership roles at KPMG, working with a wide range of organizations across Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds both a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Montana State University.

As CFO, Rudd will oversee MTA’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. To support a smooth transition, Rudd will work alongside current Chief Financial Officer Laurie Browning during an overlap period before assuming full responsibilities in the role.

As Browning prepares for her retirement, MTA extends its sincere gratitude for her many years of dedicated service and leadership. Through her commitment to the cooperative and its members, she has played an important role in strengthening MTA’s financial position and helping guide the organization’s long-term success.

Rudd is also deeply connected to the Mat-Su Valley. She and her family operate a local farm and greenhouse, giving her a firsthand appreciation for the communities MTA serves.
