Government Benefit Programs

Federally funded programs that provide monthly discounts.

Access to a reliable internet connection is more important than ever. You may qualify for assistance with your phone or internet bill through the Lifeline and/or Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). Both programs are available to new and existing MTA customers.
We are proud to participate in these programs in order to help close the digital divide and to be able to offer high-quality internet plans at a low cost to eligible members.

Lifeline Program

The Lifeline Program is a federally funded program that provides a monthly discount on phone or internet service to eligible households.  Qualification is determined based on income or your participation in several federal assistance programs, and you must recertify every year.  You must qualify through the Universal Service Administrative Company before enrolling with MTA. To learn how to apply or to see if you qualify for the program, give us a call or go to for further information.
