MTA is currently recruiting for a Network Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, design, equipment evaluation, project management, installation specifications, and test & acceptance for MTA’s networks. This position works in close collaboration with many departments. Other duties include, maintaining inside plant records, providing engineering and technical expertise and support for both internal and external customers, and plan overall equipment layouts in central offices and remote facilities. A strong familiarity with DLCs, fiber transport networks, packet/internet technologies (ATM, TCP/IP, VoIP, MPLS), xDSL and access technologies, outside plant design, and central office infrastructure is desired.
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or combination of Bachelor or Associates Degree in Electronics or related field and current, practical, and applicable technical experience is required.
