MTA is currently recruiting for a Senior Switch Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, testing & maintenance of MTA’s two Nortel DMS-100 switches, one DMS-10 switch and one Metaswitch. This position works in close collaboration with many departments. Other duties include, maintaining inside plant records, AMA records, and providing technical expertise and support for both internal and external customers. Experience with switching technologies including but not limited to SS7, MGCP, and SIP required. Experience with DMS-100 and Metaswitch operations and E911 services strongly desired. Knowledge of Ethernet protocols, IPv4 routing, access platforms, Linux commands, and use of protocol analysis tools desired.
