MTA is currently recruiting for an CABS Administrator. This position will be responsible for administration of the interstate and intrastate portions of the Carrier Access Billing Systems (CABS), maintaining the CABS/Mediation system, and access revenue account reconciliations. Prepares timely interstate, intrastate, and local CABS billings to interexchange carriers (IXCs), internet service providers (ISPs), competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) and other telecommunications service providers (TSPs) from data processed through the CABS/Mediation system, and obtained from service orders, access service requests (ASRs), end-user billing, plant records, and IXC reports. Ensures charges are billed accurately according to the NECA, AECA and local tariffs taking into account periodic rate changes. Monitors receipt of access receivables, applying late charges as appropriate, and advises if further collection efforts are necessary.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. Must have minimum of college level Principles of Accounting I & II. Five years accounting/finance experience at the staff level required. Two years recent CABS experience may be substituted for the five years in accounting. Knowledge of telecommunications plant network design and working knowledge of communication technologies are highly desired. Familiarity with Commsoft, iCommV, Sequel, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required. MTA offers competitive compensation, health insurance, 401k plan, annual leave, and more.
