Effective Advertising In The MTA Directory

People Have It

With the majority of local businesses advertising in it, the MTA Directory has the highest possession figures in the local coverage area. 82% of local residents possess the MTA Directory.

People Use It
It is an effective, economical way to reach more customers: 95% who use the MTA Yellow Pages contacted an advertiser after their last reference, and 85% who contacted an advertiser, made a purchase or visited the advertiser.

Volume
77,000 copies of the directory are distributed year-round to residential and business customers throughout the heart of Alaska including not just Palmer and Wasilla, but all the communities from Eagle River to Anderson.

Extra Exposure With The Online Directory
For no additional cost, all advertising in the printed book automatically appears in the online version at www.mtadirectory.com. In addition, all individual web site and email addresses that appear in the directory are automatically activated as "hotlinks," free of charge.

Location, Location, Location
The directory has business and residential listings for cities throughout the Valley and Eagle River, but it also includes Fairbanks, Fort Richardson, Elmendorf, Anchorage, and all those communities south along Turnagain Arm.

It's Smart And Fun To Use
In addition to listings, the MTA Directory includes an informative community section, helpful information pages, comprehensive maps, and an Internet guide that gives local businesses a dedicated section in which they can promote their electronic addresses to computer-savvy consumers.

Menu Guide And Banner Ads
Placed in a separate section under the Yellow Pages restaurant, the menu guide offers businesses an opportunity to promote their featured dishes, pricing, location, and hours. Popular and successful banner ads are available in the white pages.

Listings In The MTA White Pages

There are many ways to customize your white pages listings, for example:

Omit Address – Have us remove the address from your telephone directory listing

Non-Listed Service – Request non-listed, when you want to omit your number from the telephone directory, but not from directory assistance information (411)

Non-Published Service – With non-published, we will omit your number from both the telephone directory and directory assistance information (411)

Vacation Versus Disconnect – If you disconnect your telephone prior to the directory “close date” (late December of each year), your number will not appear in the following year’s directory. To assure that your telephone number remains in the directory, you can put your account on vacation instead of disconnecting

Cross Reference Listings – Train your customers to remember the new name of your business by creating a cross reference in the white pages

Put A Stop To Telemarketers – Get on the National Do-Not-Call Registry to discourage commercial telemarketers from calling your residential telephone, including wireless numbers

To register by phone, call 1-888-382-1222. You must call from the phone number you wish to register. For TTY, call 1-866-290-4236

You may also register by Internet at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/donotcall/, and you may remove your name from the list at any time
