Using Centrex Features

Program The Time & Date

1)   Press the Program button
2)   Use your arrow keys and scroll to Time & Date Set (Not Time & Date Format)
3)   Press the Hold Key
4)   Enter the Date, Month, and Year (Please note, DO NOT enter the month first. When programming the set, you need to put the date in first),then enter the time (24 hr time clock) ie: 30 10 06 08:00 or 30 10 06 13:15
5)   Press the Hold key
6)   Press the Release key

Anonymous Call Rejection

Callers who blocked their numbers to Caller ID will hear an announcement that this line does not accept anonymous calls

To turn on the service
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *77
3. Listen for the confirmation tone and then hang up

To turn off the service
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *87
3. Listen for confirmation tone or announcement. Hang up

Authorization Code

Identify callers for billing purposes and restrict unauthorized Toll Charges
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *98
3. Enter the authorization code assigned to your phone set
4. Wait for new dial tone
5. Dial 1 + the ten-digit number. For customers who dial 9 to access an outside line, dial 9 + 1 + ten-digit number

Call Forwarding

Forward calls to a different telephone or Voice Mail
To turn on the service
1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *72
3. Listen for the dial tone
4. Dial the number to which you want your calls forwarded to
5. When the phone is answered, your call forwarding is in effect. If there is no answer or the line is busy, press the switchook for about one second and then repeat the above steps within two minutes. When you hear two beeps, your call forwarding is in effect

To turn off the service
1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *73
3. Listen for the confirmations tone and then hang up. Calls will ring normally on your phone

Call Forward Remote Access

Turn on, off, or change your Forwarding from any location
1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial the Call Forward access number provided by your telephone company: 694-3500 in Eagle River or 746-3500 in other service areas
3. After the line rings, listen for the special dial tone
4. Dial your seven-digit business telephone number that has Call Forwarding on it
5. Dial your Personal Identification Number (PIN)
6. Listen for the special dial tone. Dial *72 and enter the number to which you want to forward your calls to, or enter *73 to cancel Call Forward

Call Park

Park calls against a directory number in the user’s group

To park a call Press *95

To retrieve a parked call
1. Press *96
2. Dial the number the call was parked against

Call Pickup

Answer calls ringing to a different extension
1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *94. The call that is ringing in your pickup group will be brought to your phone

Calling Name And Number Delivery

1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *82

Cancel Call Waiting

Disable Call Waiting for the duration of one telephone call
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *70
3. Listen for confirmation tone. Dial your call as usual

Continuous Redial

Redials busy numbers over and over until the line is free

To activate
1. When you hear a busy signal, press and release the switch hook
2. Listen for dial tone
3. Dial *66
4. Hang up

To deactivate
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *86
3. Listen for the confirmation announcement. Hang up

Customer Originated Trace

Trace the last call received
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *57
3. Listen for confirmation announcement that the last call has been traced
4. Hang up. The call you traced will be stored at MTA

Last Call Return

Call back the number that just called you – if you were unable to reach the phone before it stopped ringing

To activate
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *69. Your phone will dial the number that just dialed you

To deactivate
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *89
3. Listen for the confirmation announcement and then hang up

Last Number Redial

Automatically dials the last dialed number

To use
1. Lift handset, press the # key twice
2. Call is connected

To redial a number
Press the line key originally used to call the person. The line indicator goes on. Press the # key twice. The display shows the information about the call. The last number you called on that line is redialed

Meet Me Conference

Take place in conferences by dialing a designated conference number
1. Dial Meet Me Conference phone number (assigned to you). Call must be initiated from an authorized Centrex user in the group
2. The line will ring until the second party dials the Meet Me Conference number. Calls are automatically connected
3. The dialing party pays any long distance charges

Per Call Blocking

Dial a code before placing a call to prevent your name and number from appearing on the Caller ID display of the person receiving your call
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *67
3. Listen for special dial tone
4. Dial the number you are calling as usual

Personal Speed Call

Short List

Place calls to a list of ten numbers by dialing a one-digit code followed by the pound sign

To establish your speed call list
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *99
3. Wait for dial tone
4. Dial the one-digit access code (choose a number from 0 to 9)
5. Dial the telephone number you wish to assign to that code (remember 1+ area code if number is long distance)
6. Listen for confirmation code
7. Hang up
8. Proceed with setting up your remaining speed dial list by repeating the steps above

To use your speed call list
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *, the appropriate one-digit access code, followed by the # key

To cancel a number on your speed call list
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *99
3. Wait for dial tone
4. Dial the one-digit access code for the number you want to cancel
5. Listen for cancellation tone
6. Hang up

Long List

Place calls to a list of 30, 50, or 70 numbers by dialing a two digit code followed by the pound sign.

To establish your speed call list
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *75
3. Wait for dial tone
4. Dial the one-digit access code (choose a number from 00 to 69)
5. Dial the telephone number you wish to assign to that code (remember 1+ area code if number is long distance)
6. Listen for confirmation code
7. Hang up
8. Proceed with setting up your remaining speed dial list by repeating the steps above

To use your speed call list
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *, the appropriate one-digit access code, followed by the # key

To cancel a number on your speed call list
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *75
3. Wait for dial tone
4. Dial the two-digit access code for the number you want to cancel
5. Listen for cancellation tone
6. Hang up

Ring Anywhere

Receive calls dialed to one number on up to four additional telephone numbers simultaneously
1. Lift handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *45 from the main number, or 373-7464 for Valley access or 622-7464 for Eagle River access
3. Enter the ten-digit number followed by the # key
4. Follow the voice prompts

Selective Call Rejection

Turn on an announcement saying that you are not taking calls at this time - to be heard by callers on a rejection list. All other calls will ring through
To turn on the service
1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone
2. Dial *60
3. An announcement will play telling you if the feature is turned on or off, and how many, if any, numbers are stored in your rejection list
4. Dial 3 to turn the feature on or off

Transfer

Transfer calls to another party inside or outside of the office
1. Press link or flash
2. Dial the complete destination phone number
3. Hang up. Call is now transferred

Voice Mail

1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone
2. Press *88
